A couple of things

ISABELLA

Finished her first assignment this week. It is a presentation on France she has to give her class on Tuesday.

She researched the content and even made a PowerPoint slide of pictures. She did an amazing job! Grade 3 and making a PowerPoint slide presentation unbelievable!

The kids went to church today and when Father said "put your hands together" some smarties in her class started clapping instead of praying. So everyone in the class had to write a letter to God. To apologise I imagine! Gave me quite s giggle!

TAHLIA
Tahlia walked all the way to the corner shop and back tonight. This is a major breakthrough. When we were on holidays at the beginning of the year she wouldn't even walk a block without tears!

FRIDAY NIGHTS
Very exciting in our household. Usually consists of all family members asleep by 8.30pm and I'm left to amuse myself. I usually have a glass of vino (or 2) and play Words with Friends, watch Escape to the Country.

Tonight's drop....

I'm selecting purely by pretty labels these days!

TGIF, bottoms up!

One on one time

It's not often that I get one on one time with the girls but tonight Tahlia and I had some.

Sometimes Tahlia can drive me bonkers but tonight I enjoyed each and every moment with her.

We walked down to the fish and chip shop which is about 15 mins away. Tahlia did a little running and explained to me that you need to move your arms when you run and make sure you are not looking down. Something she had learned in sports class this week. So
Cute.

She talked all the way there, all through eating dinner and then all the way home.

We practiced her letters and sounds letters make - she is really coming along in leaps and bounds. I love this age when they are learning so much.

A perfect evening was topped off with a quiet snuggle and cuggle on the couch. Love love snuggling in and breathing in her goodness.

These are the moments, the times I savour.

School days

Well I'm on a roll and realized I didn't write a post about Tahlia's first day at school.

In the lead up she was pretty blasΓ© and even more recently was pretty light on the details of her days.

But she really seems to like her teacher (me too!) and she seems to have settled in quite well.

She had two friends from daycare going to her school and her class which I'm sure made a big difference. Poor Bella knew noone when she started and it took her a while to settle in.

Two girls in school how time flies!

Tahlia's first tooth lost

Yesterday morning Tahlia excitedly ran to me saying "feel this feel this" sure enough her tooth was wobbly. Then I noticed the new tooth was already coming up behind it!

I had an inkling her tooth would be out that day! She couldn't stop playing with it!

Sure enough when I came home the first thing she had to tell me was....tooth fell out.

I was just looking back on my blog to see how old Isabella was when she lost her first tooth. She was 6 yrs 3 mths.

Tahlia is 5 yrs 1 mth......and couldn't be more excited. She has been talking about losing her teeth for ages!

Here is a pic..
